Get Email and SMS Alerts When Someone Hacks Your Facebook Account!

Facebook just announced a new security feature that will prevent someone from infiltrating your account. You get notified by Email or SMS text message from an unidentified device. SMS notification, by the way, is available for SMART subscribers only. Arrghh, why Globe doesn't have this feature yet.

To make the procedures simple, click on "Account Settings" as pictured below (images are too blurred, it may hurt your eyes, wink!)

then click on the link next to "Account Security" at the bottom of the page. If you select "Yes", you'll be asked to name and save the various devices you use to access Facebook when you log-in again.

If you have registered your mobile with Facebook, you can take advantage with their SMS notification system.

So, when you login again, you have to setup your primary machine like I did.

Simple as that! So, when unrecognized and suspicious logins occur, Facebook will asks security questions (like identifying your birthdate or who your first kiss was). If the would-be hacker can’t answer the question, he or she can't gain access fully to your account.

Note that, when your cookies are cleared, you have to re-register again your device.
