Facebook Zero - Free and Fast Facebook Mobile Access for Developing Countries

First there was Coke Zero. Now, "Facebook Zero"? Yeah, you heard it right! Facebook has launched a new mobile site having no added sugar, lol.

Seriously, emerging mobile market operators have signed up with Facebook to allow users in posting status updates, like and commenting on other posts, send and reply to messages, or write on their friends' wall with incurred zero data fees.
Sun Cellular is the first mobile service provider in the Philippines, been convinced by Facebook not to charge their subscribers in accessing the site. There's a catch, though: viewing the content (such as a picture) that another user has posted will require the user to click a link, and thus incur a data charge. Soon, SMART and GLOBE will also bring this feature to the public.
