I was thinking lately, what are the most popular online message boards on the world wide web? with the most members and posts?
Few days ago, I signed-up with TechIMO.com, known-to-be the largest tech help and online support forum and I was amazed how big the forum is with over 200,000 members and 2 Million posts. I do managed one message board with 50,000 members but with what TechIMO.com performs is truly amazing and inspiring.
When I googled my query, I landed with Big-Boards, a site with daily updated list of the largest message boards and forums on the web, along with interviews of the forums administrators. So, I checked Istorya.net, and PinoyExchange.com both ranked fairly high. Kudos to the team of Beor (Admin of Istorya.net) and also to the admin (Michael Nolledo aka BatangUliran) of PinoyExchange.
As an Administrator of our High School Unofficial Forum, one thing that is really important feature is how active a forum is. How active members are in posting and replying new threads. Forums that talks about latest technology and games are most likely to last. Gaia Online is currently the largest forum today with 1.4 Billion members and with almost 16 Million members. Is that the reason why I can't access their site? Bandwidth exceeded much?
