At Waterfront Hotel & Casino, Lahug, Cebu City last night, there was a fellowship/networking event where Digital Filipino Club members and Cebu bloggers met and mingled -- an event I almost missed and am so glad I didn't.
I'm about to leave the City at that night, I have already my ticket with me and things were already packed up for departure. Yay! I'm ready to leave Cebu. Actually, Kevin called me up that afternoon and I told him that I couldn't attend. But, unexpectedly I was able to catched up. The ship left without me. It was a 20 minutes delay due to traffic. Waahh!
So, I quickly went off to the event. My friend fetched up my things back to our lodge. Luckily, I was one of the early birds to have registered. Okay! I'm here finally and to attend in such event with the CBS bloggers for the first time!
It was a night of networking, live music band, sumptuous buffet of free foods and drinks and of course gambling. I met up my friends and blogmates like BatangYagit and technologian schoolmates specially Kevin who was really surprised of me. Hahaha... I also had a great conversation with Realtor Mr. Samuel Lao - President/CEO RealtyOPTIONS Marketing & Consultancy Inc. Each of the participants were given the opportunity to introduce themselves, talk about their interests and promote their blogs. I've known some people behind some big local online sites like mynimo.com and istorya.net. To hear these giants in such a formal setting was almost surreal. Glad to see all of them!
Then, Ms. Janette Toral, gave a short presentation of blog sites that made it in the top 100 compiled by Ratified.org. I was surprised to learn that several sites made it to the list are from College Teens, so I guess it all goes down to content and proud that Jehz made it to the top.
I won a 500-peso first bet coupon/ticket in Casino Filipino during the raffle.
The venue was great, the food was great, and the crowd was also great. ALL WAS GREAT!
The event was sponsored by PAGCOR, a member of Digital Filipino. When will the PAGCOR Tower soon rise? hehe... I was really amazed of that project.
