Bypass windows xp activation
Done on WinXP Home. Works in Windows Server 2003 R2, with SP2, not with SP3! and should work just the same with Professional.
This is so easy to do I can’t believe it took me forever to find out

1. Enter regedit Start -> Run -> type “regedit” you might want to make a backup, by choosing export in the menu
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents
3. Change the value of OOBETimer from whatever it is to:
FF D5 71 D6 8B 6A 8D 6F D5 33 93 FD
Read the next steps BEFORE you do it. You have to know what you’re going to do, because if you take too much time the value will reset and you must try again. That’s no biggie, but anyway.
4. Right click on the WPAEvents folder and choose “Permissions…”
5. Choose the “SYSTEM” group, and in the list below (”Permissions for SYSTEM”) check every box under “Deny”. I just needed to check the first box and it autamatically checked the others.
6. Press OK, close the regedit and you’re done, your windows is activated.
